Li Hanhan, a young pianist studying in the United States, is a lecturer at the Arts Center of the Southern University of Science and Technology and holds a Doctor of Musical Arts (D.MA) degree in Piano Performance and Music Arts from the United States.
Starting to learn the piano at the age of 4, Li studied under Gustavo Romero, a renowned pianist and the winner of the 1989 Clara Haskil International Piano Competition, while in the United States to pursue her doctoral degree in piano performance. She currently serves as the Vice President of the Piano Professional Committee of the Greater Bay Area Arts and Music Education Development Association, and the Vice Director of the Piano Professional Committee of the Shenzhen Public Culture Promotion Association. Li has also served as a judge for various national and international piano competitions and art festivals, including the 19th Xinghai Cup National Piano Competition, the 3rd Shenzhen Workers' Music Festival - 1st Shenzhen Workers' Piano Competition (semi-finals), the 29th American Music Open Competition Asia-Pacific Exhibition Competition, and the 13th Beijing International Piano (Instrumental) Art Festival Exhibition.
As a young pianist studying in the United States, Li held a piano and organ concert titled "Taking Off from Shenzhen" at the Shenzhen Concert Performing Hall in 2015 and a piano concert in Dallas, USA as part of the Epsilon Series (Mu Phi Epsilon Concert) in 2016. Starting in 2021, she has been invited to perform as a guest artist at the Closing Concert of the Shenzhen Piano Music Festival. During her time in the United States, she served as a pianist for the North Texas University Wind Ensemble and performed several contemporary American works with the ensemble. Additionally, her piano students, under her guidance, have won gold medals in various piano competitions such as the 11th Shenzhen Piano Open Competition held by the Shenzhen Piano Association in 2022, the 4th Liszt International Youth Piano Competition - China Selection in May 2023, the 8th Versailles International Music and Arts Festival in France in 2023, and won the 2nd place in the Final of the 15th Asia-Pacific Youth Piano Art Festival in Hong Kong in 2024.
