Qiao-Chu He joined the SUSTech Business School in 2019. His primary research area is operations management, with application domains including smart cities, marketplaces and platforms, socially responsible and sustainable operations, human-algorithm/AI interactions. His major research methodologies include games with incomplete information (mechanism design, market design, and information design), stochastic models, applied optimization, and data analytics.

He serves as a principal investigator for projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the NSFC Overseas Excellent Young Scholar Program (2019), the Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Commission, and the Hong Kong General Research Fund (GRF). He is also on the editorial board of Frontiers of Engineering Management (under the Chinese Academy of Engineering) and serves as an associate editor for Service Science (under INFORMS). Furthermore, he acts as a reviewer for journals such as MSOM and POM, as well as for key talent programs from the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in China. Additionally, he is a council member of the Chinese Society of Management Science and Engineering, an executive member of the CCF Task Force on Computational Economics and Decision Science Division of the Chinese Academy of Management.
